How this estimate is calculated
  • Monthly units = bill ÷ tariff. System size = (units × offset target) ÷ (daily generation per kW × 30), rounded up.
  • Generation of about 4 units per kW per day is a typical annual average for Odisha; actual output depends on orientation, shading, weather and maintenance.
  • PM Surya Ghar central subsidy for homes: ₹30,000/kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the 3rd kW (maximum ₹78,000). Commercial and industrial systems are not covered but may be eligible for accelerated depreciation.
  • Savings include a 3% yearly tariff increase and 0.5% yearly panel degradation. CO₂ factor: 0.82 kg per unit; one tree absorbs about 21 kg CO₂ per year.
  • Prices are indicative and include standard installation. Final quotation is given after a free site survey.
